Administrative Leadership Candidate
I joined a turbulant PBIS team in 2013 that had seen dramatic turnover every year since it's implementation. The following year, the team stabalized, and I was promoted to an internal coach where I also oversaw many of the external coach responsibilities since she joined another school district and was not replaced until 2015.
Each year, since I have been on the team, the SAS has improved allowing us to begin the Tier II training in 2016 to prepare for implementation during the 2016-17 schoo year.
At the end of my first year on the PBIS team, the TIC fell significantly. The following year, the results improved and remained steady. In 2015, the TIC improved significantly providing more evidence that the team is ready to implement Tier II.
Like the other measurement tools above, the BOQ made great strides throughout my time on the PBIS team.
The progress Turner Middle School achieved was recognized when the Wisconsin PBIS Network invited me to particiate on the "Jump Start your Tier I System" panel at the 2015 conference.
In January 2016, I began training for Tier II implementation as I have been selected to be the Tier II coach at Turner Middle School.
I helped lead the PBIS program to success through consistent communication with staff members, consistent goals, and seeking feedback from others in the school.
We update the staff at each staff meeting and by distributing our meeting minutes monthly.
Towards the end of 2013-14 school year, we surveyed the staff to get feedback. This was utilized in adjusting our building goals that have now been maintained for two consecutive years.
In the spring of 2015, we surveyed the staff, again, as well as the students. Through this feedback, we made minor adjustments to the program.
